The win helped Bengal Tigers move one point clear of Hyderabad Toofans with 18 points from nine matches. JSW Soorma Hockey Club, and Tamil Nadu Dragons are also tied on 17 points each with Toofans.
Delhi SG Pipers who were already eliminated have now 10 losses in as many games with just one win in shoot-out.
