Mumbai all-rounder Suryansh Shedge has been in phenomenal form off-late. The Mumbai finisher yet again got the team across the line when they needed him the most, this time in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final against Madhya Pradesh. Over the last four matches, Shedge has been contributing immensely with bat and ball. Well, if any one apart from Mumbai were to consider themselves lucky, then it is none other than IPL side Punjab Kings.

PBKS have been lucky to get domestic players who turn out to be breakout stars. In 2024, they laid hands on a wrong Shashank Singh, only to figure out that he was one of the best in the business. So much so, that they decided to retain him ahead of IPL 2025 auction. Similarly, the team seems to have struck gold this year in terms of roping in Suryansh Shedge.
Shedge carried out his role as Mumbai’s finisher to perfection in the recently-concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament. With a strike rate of 260+, he is one of the best talents to have emerged from the domestic tourney. What is more commendable is his ability to deliver lower down the order when there are stars like Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube batting above him.
