Ο Virat Kokhli ξεκίνησε εξαιρετικά στο IPL 2025 και κατά τη διάρκεια της CSK εναντίον της RCB η ομάδα θα περίμενε το ίδιο πράγμα από αυτόν.
CSK vs RCB is the one of the most epic rivalries in the IPL, and that is going to get renewed on Friday once again. And one of the highlights of the day will be, Virat Kohli playing against Chennai, one of the team he really likes to bat against in the tournament. The 36-year-old veteran has played 33 matches against CSK and scored 1053 runs at an average of 37.61, with nine fifties.
Could Virat Kohli be a threat to CSK, given his superior record, and also the fact that pacer Matheesha Pathirana is unfit. Coach Stephen Fleming opened up on the same during the pre-match press conference. Mind you, Kohli is coming on the back of a 59 in the opening match vs KKR on March 22.
“It’s really hard to comment after just one game. The RCB and CSK from last year is quite different. We don’t look into past performances. Certainly, looking at their team, Kohli is a big part of it. But they have strength in their team, like most franchises have. The competition is pretty even this year. If we keep him and Patidar quiet, then it will help us to win,” said Fleming.
On Matheesha Pathirana’s Injury
Pathirana had missed the first game vs MI too, and would miss the one against RCB too, Fleming clarified. “Pathirana is recovering from injury. So don’t expect him to play tomorrow,” said Fleming. Having said that, the Kiwi also hinted that there won’t be any other changes in the side.
